Inspirational Art

Elisa Boughner, the internationally recognized painter, has created an inspirational collection from which 50% of the proceeds are donated to Skin of Steel. This page is dedicated to showcasing Elisa's Lotus Gem Collection. Elisa unveiled her original painting on April 25, 2010 at the Skin of Steel Brainstorm on Skin Cancer held at the Youth Services facility in Glenview IL. The Lotus represents beauty that must grow through mud in order to blossom. In the process of growth, the Lotus actually cleans the water. The journey of many Melanoma patients is reflected in that of the Lotus.
New original Lotus Gems are introduced on this page for sale through Elisa Bougher's studio. Each Lotus is painted in oil paint on a premier gallery 4"x 6" canvas with a 1 1/2" profile. The price for a Lotus Gem is $175 which includes tax and shipping. Sales are on a first come first serve basis. Each piece is an original, so if you see one you really want, don't wait. If you are interested in a specific piece, please email Elisa with the number of the Lotus Gem, your address and phone number.
Should anyone wants to order one or a set of Lotus Gems, Elisa can arrange that for you via email as well.
Lotus Gems below are available through Elisa Boughner for $175 on a first come first serve basis.

Elisa was born in the United States, raised in Mexico and studied art in America and Europe. Her work reflects the influence of each of these cultures, and of a range of painting styles from the Impressionists, through the German Expressionists, and finally the Cubist. The result is a unique and highly personal style that brings extraordinary vibrance to often ordinary subjects. Elisa's work is currently exhibited at Rush University Medical Center's Cancer Programs Office in Chicago. She will also exhibit her Steel Lotus Collection as well as pieces from her own Gallery from September through November at the Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care Center at:
2050 Clare Court, Glenview, IL 60025
